I have been speaking with other members of this group and I have given my opinions on Bamon and kindhiya3 convinced me to post my first article. We were talking about Bamon up until this hiatus especially since 2x18 The Last Dance.
I looked at this episode and their scene together and it kind of remind me of 2x18. I know you wondering how, so I will tell you. Before Bonnie went off to “die” fighting Klaus, her last scene was with Damon where they formulated the plan. In this episode Damon and Bonnie have a scene before Damon goes to “kill” Klaus in which we learn that Damon has the stake on his dead person revealed to us by way of Bonnie. I thought that was an interesting parallel of sorts.
Sticking with the 2x18 episode, at the very beginning of the episode Damon was genuinely concerned with Bonnie taking on Klaus. Where did this concern come from and why has it appeared. I have an idea. If you think back to 1x09, Damon stated to Bonnie “Believe it or not Bonnie, I want to protect you”. Now if you look at all the plans that He (Damon himself) involved Bonnie in, the plans are where Bonnie was not in direct line of danger (i.e. mason kidnapping in 2x06). This was the first time that Bonnie would be taking on a major plan that he may not be able to protect her or at least help her with and it unnerved him. What we later find out in the 2x18 is that Damon and Bonnie come up with a plan for Bonnie to “die” to save her. It seems that Damon does the best planning and masterminding when Bonnie is involved!
In episode 2x21, Damon and Bonnie team up again when Bonnie locked Alaric in the house to keep him safe. I thought that the wolf bite that he received made him react that way he did when he was speaking with Alaric and Alaric told him about Stefan sacrificing himself. Damon said “we have a witch she kills Klaus, no one has to die.” Alaric says, “Except Bonnie”, and then Damon hits the wall. I took that action as frustration because again Damon is in a position that he can’t help Bonnie like last time in 2x18. Yes I know about the declaration in 2x18 but you know how people tend to eat their words. Anyways, I took that declaration of Damon’s conscious (feelings for Kat/Dopple) fighting to keep down a newly emerging subconscious (feelings for Bonnie). It’s more about convincing himself than anyone else.
Season 3 we have only two in person scenes so far but we have in 3x05 Bonnie texting Damon. Now Damon is with Katherine and is adamant to get his phone where he sees that Bonnie has been texting him, and then he is ready to leave. Now Kat teases and said checking on Dopple, but her reaction changed when it was from Bonnie. She went on to remind Damon about what he said about no turning back, but he tells her to shut up and he goes back. Now some can say it was because of Klaus but that doesn’t explain Kat’s reaction which is questionable at best. Then in 3x06 we have Damon wanting Bonnie in on the plan that Dopple says no and not trusting Stefan won’t hurt Bonnie. Damon looked bored and had a look like whatever when she said that. Is it me or does Damon have more faith in Bonnie than her “best friend” Dopple? To me, those two episodes shows Damon’s subconscious emerging he wants to have or be around Bonnie.
In episode 3x07 we have one short scene of Bamon, but I found a few things interesting. One is that Damon was checking Bonnie out while talking lol. Two, Damon allowed his conscious to take over after seeing bonnie in the flesh. I kept reading how rude Damon was to Bonnie but I was the scene another way. The conversation he had with Bonnie could have been over the phone via conversation or text, why did he go out looking for her to tell her that when we all know they talk via the cell and text? I think the vamp was going through judgy withdrawals. Lol Then we have the Beremy betrayal revealed in Damon’s bedroom (yes Bonnie all up in Damon’s bedroom yeah I know Damon wasn’t there). Interesting place to have a reveal like that I mean Bonnie could have found out about the betrayal anywhere why in Damon’s bedroom?? Hmm
Just a few thoughts that came up when in conversation.
This episode scene it interesting in the fact that you can take a married couple or couple's daily dialogue or fight and replace what Bamon said and it would fit. It was mention in one of the conversations that they sounded and acted like a couple lol Also, Damon was going to stake Tyler and Bonnie juju him. I personally think that Damon was going through so much Bonnie withdrawal that he wanted a love pang to tie him over until after the hiatus. That's my theory and I am standing by it lol
Let me know what you think!

Kat Graham stated that Matt & Bonnie were a Tweet Trend AFTER the 3x05 episode. I've never heard of Bamon being a tweet trend at any time unless I missed it somewhere as I'm more invloved now than I've ever been, but I was trying to figure out how Monnie, who isn't even a main AU ship made a tweet trend when we Bamon's have such a strong fan base & have been supporting Bamon for the longest??? This isn't any hate towards Monnie or Monnie shippers because I actually like them and enjoyed their scenes in 3x05 too, though I prefer them as friends, but this is about making Bamon a tweet trend as well. So come 3x07, I pose a challenge to all Bamons to make Bamon a tweet trend that day starting directly after 3x07 episode throughout October 28th till midnight and beyond if possible, but I'll settle for crazy Bamon twitting all night and next day after 3x07, which will be our first Bamon scene since last season.
Can we do this Bamons??????????????????
Can we do this Bamons??????????????????
