1. “Bamon Is An Interracial Relationship, Therefore, It’s Morally Wrong.”
So, because two people are of a different race, that means that two people shouldn’t date each other or be in a love relationship together? I’m sorry but this is the most racist and prejudiced thing that I have ever read. You know, I grew up watching Disney as a child and one of my favourite Disney's films ever was Pocahontas. It was about a beautiful, free-spirited Native American Indian girl, who was the daughter of a Chief named Pocahontas and a handsome, adventurous, feisty English explorer, adventurer and settler named John Smith. For some reason, out of all of the Disney movies that I had watched growing up as a child, Pocahontas was the one Disney movie that literally drew me in; I found it magnetic and extremely compelling and powerful. I was strongly magnetized by it. OK, so maybe part of the reason why I was so obsessed with Pocahontas was because I had a HUGE crush on John Smith when I was little and I repeatedly told myself that I was going to marry John Smith when I got older (hey, I was 6 years old, people). I wanted to be Pocahontas when I was little. And I wanted a John Smith of my own. But in all seriousness, the major reason why I was so drawn to the Disney movie Pocahontas was because of the diversity, the beauty of an interracial love. What drew me into the movie was that two people can love each other so strongly and so deeply and they could be of different races, nationalities and ethnicities. So for me, interracial love and relationships is something that I've always been exposed to and something I have always valued, loved and respected, because I'm a product of it myself. How are two people of a different race dating each or being in a relationship together morally wrong in any way? I would like for people who think such a thing, especially anti-Bamon people within this fandom (who are select few but still) to explain to me how Damon/Bonnie are morally wrong. Let’s get something straight right now. When it comes to real true love, race and skin colour shouldn’t mean a damn thing. I’m half Latino (Mexican/Cuban), half Caucasian (Irish/Italian); does that mean that I shouldn't date someone who is FULL Caucasian because I happen to be biracial and of a mixed background? As a product of interracial marriage, it really shocks me and offends me when I read such comments like this. This is fucking 2011, not 1950. Racism really shouldn’t be this vibrant especially in this day and age where so many different races, nationalities and religions are blending and mixing together now. But unfortunately, it still is, even in a time where many people are crossing racial and ethnic and even religious barriers. People who think this way must be living in the Dark Ages. Aren’t they living in this time? Interracial relationships are the hot thing these days. Everyone is blending and you know what? IT’S BEAUTIFUL. I would know, I come from an interracial marriage/family. In regards to Damon/Bonnie, I find it extremely offensive when people try to say that a romantic relationship between Damon/Bonnie would be wrong because Damon is White and Bonnie is Black (actually, Katerina Graham is biracial but that doesn’t really matter anyways). Why is it morally wrong? Because of the colour of Damon and Bonnie’s skin? Because Damon’s skin is pink and Bonnie’s skin is brown? Who fucking cares? I happen to think that Damon/Bonnie look gorgeous together and honestly, when I look at Bamon together, I don’t even see race or skin colour. I just see a couple who look physically beautiful together and a couple who has so much mega potential to be great (except the show really needs yo have the balls to explore their dynamic so I’m not so pessimistic). If people who say Damon/Bonnie are morally wrong because they are an interracial relationship, then that must mean that Jeremy/Bonnie must be morally wrong as well since they are an interracial relationship as well. But you know what’s funny? The person whom made this comment (and was unfortunate to come across for me) said at the same time that they thought Beremy is a beautiful relationship. LMAO. WTF? So basically this person said that Damon/Bonnie is morally wrong because they are an interracial dynamic, yet this same person contradicted themselves and said that Jeremy/Bonnie are an amazing couple. Does this person not seem to take notice that Jeremy is White and Bonnie is Black and that they are also an interracial dynamic like Damon/Bonnie are? No, of course this person didn’t think that, because IT’S DAMON/BONNIE. It’s only morally wrong because it’s Damon/Bonnie. Also, there’s no law or rule saying that people shouldn’t or can’t date outside of their race. People should be free to date whomever they want without being judged by others on the outside. That includes the fictional characters of Damon/Bonnie.
2. “Ian Somerhalder Hates/Dislikes Katerina Graham Off-Screen.”
For some strange reason, out of all of the stupid comments that I find amongst this fandom, this one bothers me the MOST. Ian hates Katerina off-screen? Now why in the fuck would Ian even hate Katerina?? I just don’t get it. Oh right, because Ian is dating Nina IRL and not Katerina, so therefore, it must mean that Ian dislikes Katerina offscreen because of it. I mean, are these people serious? First of all, Ian doesn’t hate Katerina. That I can assure you. In fact, Katerina has mentioned repeatedly in her interviews that she and Ian are really close in real life and that they are very good friends who get a long, yet people wanna run around and say shit like this? What is the purpose of people even trying to say such a thing when they don’t even know the actors personally and they don’t know the personal relationships between the actors either? I don’t get why people would even want to say this statement in the first place? Is it because Ian didn’t follow Katerina on Twitter for the longest time until recently when he started following her on April Fools Day? If that’s one of the reasons, then that’s pretty stupid. To be quite honest, I would be surprised if Ian purposely did that so that he wouldn’t get bashed for following Katerina in the first place. I’ve noticed that Katerina gets a lot of hate tweets on her Twitter because she may have made pro-Bamon comments in her interviews or she said something really good about Ian as a person, etc. So maybe if the crazy fans within this fandom saw that Ian was following Katerina, the Ian fangirls would go bersurko because of it. I don’t know what in the hell is wrong with this fandom’s thinking. To run around and say that two actors who are co-stars and two people who work together don’t like each other off-screen is just totally and incredibly low in my opinion. Nobody knows them personally and nobody knows Ian/Kat’s friendship/relationship off-screen. Therefore, nobody is able to make judgements about the true nature of their relationship. It’s the same way that I can’t make judgements about Paul/Nina’s relationship off-screen or even Ian/Nina’s. I can only go by what I see. I can say that two actors who work together on-screen have great chemistry off-screen. Well, you know what? In my open and honest opinion, I think Ian/Katerina are adorable and from I have seen on the TVD BTS pictures and videos, I think they have a very great friendship. Seeing a Ian/Kat moment, whether it be in a BTS video or in a BTS picture always warms my heart. And I wish people within this fandom would stop trying to undermine that. I’m not a fan of Ian/Nina, but then again, their relationship is really none of my business. I think the people who like to make this comment are purely jealous and insecure. Most of the people who say this are part of the Nian cult and don’t want Katerina to stand in the way of their precious Nian. For these people to say such things about Ian/Kat, that must seriously mean that Ian/Kat must have some great chemistry both on screen and off-screen. Because trying to say that two actors who work together hate each off-screen is pretty damn extreme and also rather pathetic at the same time. I don’t care what anyone says but from what I’ve seen and what I think, Ian/Kat have a great, professional relationship. Kat has said nothing but highly positive comments about Ian. And Ian seems to greatly enjoy Kat’s presence. I get the strong feeling that Ian/Kat keep their friendship on the down low, because of all of the vicious hate that comes from this fandom. Which is beyond sad, because people shouldn’t feel the need to hide or keep their friendships with people quiet. The fact that so many people within this fandom have actually said that Ian hates Katerina off-screen is beyond ridiculous to me and I just can’t understand it whatsoever. But it’s OK, we all know Ian thinks Katerina is the hot one. ;) That’s why they have so much freaking chemistry that always seems to be ready to set the TV screen ablaze. It’s all good.
3. “If Bonnie Was A White Girl On The Show, I Would Possibly Ship Bamon Then.”
Again, another racist comment regarding Bonnie and Bamon on the show. What else is new? People who refuse to ship couples because of shallow things such as race shouldn’t be shipping any couples at all. Because the people who discriminate against certain couples happening because one of the characters happens to be non-White is beyond ridiculous. People like this have no business supporting any couple period, at least in my opinion. Because I believe that if you are going to ship fictional couples, at least have the audacity to be as open-minded as possible. It’s one thing to not like a couple because you hate their dynamic or you believe that the connection between the two characters doesn’t make logical sense, but to not want to even have the open mind of possibly shipping a couple because one of the characters involved in the dynamic/ship is non-White is beyond fucking stupid. This, to me, is prejudice at it’s prime. We all know that in the TVD novel series, Bonnie is a White girl of Scots-Irish descent with pale skin (so pale that her veins are visible) and strawberry red hair which looks like Ariel from The Little Mermaid. And yet, people would have absolutely no problem with possibly shipping Bamon on the TV show if Bonnie happened to be the girl who physically resembled Bonnie in the novels. Yeah, if Bonnie was cast as a red-headed White girl, the way she is portrayed in the novels, people wouldn’t create such a fuss about the possibility of Damon/Bonnie getting together on the show. Again, racism at it’s finest. Because the show changed Bonnie into an African-American girl on the show, in contrast to her being a White girl in the books, there are people within this fandom who choose to discriminate against the Bamon dynamic ever evolving on-screen because of it. Honestly, I think the biggest reason why so many people are against Bamon happening on the show has to do with the race issue. I know that sounds really terrible, but there is really no other way to explain all of the racist comments against Bamon on the TV show.
4. “Damon Doesn’t Have Any Respect For Bonnie.”
This comment makes me laugh because the people who say this, and I see it a lot, don’t know how wrong they are. Clearly, it appears as though the people who both say this and think this are watching a completely different show. To me, it’s no different then the people within this fandom who say that Damon respects Elena and he shows respect towards Elena, which is JUST NOT TRUE AT ALL. If anything, the one person whom Damon shows any kind of respect to on the show is Bonnie. She is the only person whom Damon talks to with respect and she is the only person (besides Stefan) whom Damon even listens to. Damon listens to Bonnie and Bonnie listens to Damon. To me, listening to someone is a sign of respect. You don’t listen to someone or take someone’s words into consideration if you have no respect for them. I mean, Bonnie is the only person on this entire show whom Damon has genuinely said “Thank You” to. Damon doesn’t thank people on the show, at all. To hear a thank you out of Damon is a rarity, even if you do something for him. Many people have done things for Damon, you don’t hear Damon telling them thank you, do you? What about all the times when he repeatedly asks for a truce between himself and Bonnie? Would anyone want to make a truce towards someone that they don’t respect or someone that they don’t have any respect for? Or what about that time in 2x17 when Bonnie said that she didn’t want to be disrespectful to Luca’s dead body, what did Damon do? He buried him, because he listened to Bonnie. THIS IS A HUGE SIGN OF RESPECT. Bonnie is the one person whom Damon actually listens. On the contrary, the people who try to say that Damon doesn’t have any respect for Bonnie are the same people that try to say that Damon respects Elena. THEY ARE WRONG. Damon gives Bonnie a say, he let’s her have an opinion and he lets her voice what she feels regarding a specific situation. For example in 2x18, when Damon/Bonnie were talking about how they wanted to take down Klaus., Damon let Bonnie have a say in what she wanted to do with the whole plan. Damon/Bonnie worked as a team, they worked together and they respected each other enough to do this risky plan together. Bonnie trusted Damon enough to work with him in regards to taking down Klaus. Bonnie basically entrusted her own life in Damon’s hands and that is a HUGE sign of respect on Bonnie’s part. Bonnie may not have come all the way around on Damon in terms of fully respecting him as well as accepting him, but she most definitely shows snippets of respecting Damon. I think Bonnie strongly admires Damon’s strength and determination to carry through and follow through with a mission, especially when he is passionate about something. Bonnie respects that. And you know what? If I’m being completely honest, Damon and Bonnie share this specific trait in common. Both Damon/Bonnie are the types of people who are all or nothing when it comes to achieving something. They both believe in taking the ultimate risk. Both of them are not middle of the road or “grey area” types of people and both of them don’t take the “middle of the road” approach to situations. It’s all or nothing when it comes to both of them. And I think that this is why there is that special and certain amount of respect between them, because they both understand each other and they both understand where the other is coming from. So for people to say that Damon in no way has any respect for Bonnie on the show is complete and total bullshit. Because all of us, especially the smart viewers of this show, know that it couldn’t be farther from the truth and that Damon indeed does have some kind of respect for Bonnie, even if Damon (and even Bonnie) don’t want to admit it out in the open. If Damon didn’t have any respect for Bonnie whatsoever, he would treat Bonnie the exact same way that he does Elena. He would try to control her, dominate her, tell her what she should and shouldn’t do and how she should live her own life. He would push her around and treat her like she is property. He would talk down to Bonnie and treat her as well as communicate to her like she is an incompetent child who is completely incapable of standing up for herself. Bu the truth is, he doesn’t. And Damon making such sarcastic remarks such as calling Bonnie an “incompetent witch” isn’t going to justify anything. Because we all know that his words are one thing, but his actions are another, especially in regards to Bonnie.
5. “Bonnie Is Too Ugly To Be With Damon.”
This comment is just beyond fucking ridiculous. Just to set the record straight, BONNIE IS NOT UGLY. In fact, I strongly believe that Bonnie is the most beautiful girl on the show. I think Bonnie is prettier then both Elena and Caroline and I am not ashamed to say that. But more so, I think that Katerina Graham is the most attractive girl on the show. Sure, both Nina and Candice are pretty, but Katerina is drop dead gorgeous IMO. And I really don’t give a shit what anyone says. Bonnie is exotically beautiful and she is different and unique. To me, she and Damon look physically beautiful together. We all know that Damon is the drop dead hot guy on the show. And who else would go better with the drop dead hot guy? The most beautiful girl on the show of course, Bonnie. Haters can say all they want, but Damon/Bonnie look physically beautiful together and I even though I know this sound incredibly shallow, because in the end, looks don’t matter, Damon/Bonnie indefinitely match each other in the good looks department. Drop dead hot guy belongs with the drop dead beautiful girl. I think people who try to say that Bonnie is too ugly to be with Damon are just jealous and insecure, because they don’t want to admit that Damon/Bonnie look way better together physically then Damon/Elena. People just can’t accept that Bonnie, who is a beautiful exotic girl of colour looks really good with the Caucasian hot guy. I mean, seriously? When people try to call Bonnie too ugly for Damon, I know it doesn’t have anything to do with her facial features, that I can assure you. I know it has to do with the fact that she has brown skin complexion. All I got to say is, get over it and stop being so insecure. Green is really not a pretty colour on anyone.

ok...so i am guessing lots of ppl r wondering if Bamon is endgame or not at the end of The Return: Midnight???? well....i went 2 chapters 2day and saw the book....i skipped 2 the end and well.....Stelena(Elena/Stefan) are endgame! they r together in the end yes...and 4 Bamon well...Damon dies in the end....but u know how? SAVING BONNIE! but then at the very end...at a mystirious POV...someone wakes up with no memmories but 3 names: Elena Bonnie, and his own name...Damon! SO...can Damon still be alive then? will he come back 2 our precious Bonnie? all this will HOPEFULLY be answered int he following series :P
