According to Michael Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly, the ABC and CBS studios are discussing the possibility of a spin-off. This has been confirmed by studio producer Ed Bernero, who disclosed that "it's safe to say there will be something soon." However it still remains unclear whether the new show will feature a completely new cast or crossovers.[3]

No I wouldn't like it! They could never get a cast as great as the one we have for the show now! And I think it could be like the 'Friends' spin-off 'Joey'..

I think it would be good if they got the right group of charcters....i think I would like to see Gideon return and head up the new team or have Morgan head the new team

It would depend on what it was and everything but I would still lean towards no... leave it alone.

If anyone messes with Criminal Minds, the ratings might drop. I think ALL of the characters NEED to stay with the show. Other wise, their fans will also go.

I don't know. I like SVU more than regular Law and Order, but CSI Las Vegas better than New York and Miami. It really depends on the likability of the characters and if the job is different. There aren't enough serial killers working at one time to have two Criminal Minds about them.

With the spin off, it just confirms that the regular Criminal Minds will stay with us for many years to come. Look at CSI it has been around for years.

At least, not for any of the main characters who regularly show up. It has to be for George or Ian, or the like.
