So, you know what a chat is. I have no reason to explain it. Now, let's get on with our lives instead of chat about what a chat IS. So, I was on this wikia's chat while everyone else was gone. There was only me, and 1 other person who was AFK. But then another chatter came on with simply the name "Anonnymous42". So, I said hi to the guy when I got a PM from him. He asked me to join another chat where there were loads of other people. I was extremely bored, so I decided to join. There were about 21 othere people chatting here, so I decided to join in on the odd conversation they were having about fear and phobias. After a while I got a little disturbed, and people started to leave. Anonymous42 was still there (I shall refer to him as A42) but wasn't saying much. I eventually said "Dead chat, huh?" when a link popped up from the chat itself. It was to the same chat, but this time it was different. No-one was talking at all after about 10 minutes. I checked to make sure this was definitely the same chat. It seemed to be, but it said "DEAD CHAT" at the top.
So then I realized everyone in this chat was also in the last chat somehow, with exactly the same logs and everything. It was odd, so I tried saying hello again. Everyone just answered with "01101100 01100101 01100001 01110110 01100101". Apparently, out of the blue, everyone spoke exactly the same binary code at exactly the same time. But each individual numeral had its own link. They each led to completely different stories about embaressment or traumatic experiences. I was confused at how fast they could do that, it was as if they suspected I was going to say that at that exact moment and had this binary code with links sitting ready to be copy-pasted. However, I am a very paranoid person when I'm afraid, like most other people. A42 said to me "You're right". So, I was right about what? About my paranoia? That they had that binary link thing ready? Whatever it was, I knew it was just going to creep me out even more.So I asked "Right about what?", only to get a reply from A42 a half hour later saying "Both". I only realized when a video I was watching was done and decided to check up on the chat. I realized he somehow, as if he was stalking me, knew what I was thinking. I thought he was just being weird, and shrugged it off. So, just like before, I said "Dead chat today", desperately trying to change the subject, when the link re-appeared. It brought me back to this same chat when they all said "What did we tell you? Why didn't you listen to us?" etc. etc. and I looked in the logs to see what they said. I translated the binary from before and it said leave. I looked into all the links and the first letter of each line would help spell out a word. "What did we tell you? Why didn't you listen to us?" etc. etc.. By this point, I was annoyed. Fuck fear, I thought, why would I be afraid of a whole chat full of trolls? I was going to tell those idiotic fucks who to troll and who not to troll, I pressed enter and...
I was back in the chat, with 21 other people. I was really fucking annoyed at this. I asked them what happened, and they said they didn't know anything about what had happened. Later on, I calmed down and joined back in the awkward convorsation of fear itself, which was surprisingly making me feel less afraid. After a while the chat was closed down and I went back to this wikia's chat and there was a lively conversation going on. The chat died down again and I got bored. To which I said, "Dead chat, huh?".
