I loved it. Emily's ending was beautiful... all those butterflies... and I'm glad Victor and Victoria were together!! But their names together sounds weird
no because you cant love dead and emily is not for victor dont you remember corpse bride said before she becomes to butterfly"i love you victo but your not mine"
I think it was a perfect ending: V&V were finally together, Lord Barkis was dead (twice lol) and our Corpse Bride found peace, at last! And for who cares, the Van Dorts and Evergloths got the marriage they wanted, lol.
think about it... she ended up being happy for victor and his new wife. im sure she was happy in the after life after all that.
and his new wife was lucky to be with him. from the first time they looked at each other you knew he loved her and she loved him.
the ending was perfect!
Well I think so, I would do it like this,
after victor and Victoria get married, Emily finds a butterfly that turns into a corpse as each butterfly does, and Emily go's into a clan of corpse/butterfly's. They together forever so she can be a butterfly and corpse,
yes! i wanted emily with victor! i hate victoria. she isnt pretty and victor and victoria sound wrong. emily and victor sound cute. no offense 2 victoria fans, itz just an opinion, relax.
The ending is perfect. I know a lot of people wanted Victor to marry Emily, but that's not the story. Besides, the end whare Emily turns in to hundreds of butterflies and Victor and Victoria get married is perfect and Emily gave him up because she realized that he was meant to be with Victoria, and he set her free. And Victor and victoria are really adorable together :)
i agree with some that it's fine just the way it is. Besides would you marry someone that you loved but didn't love you back? think about it. Emily loved victor with all her heart and soul, but knew they couldn't be together since she's dead and he's from the land of the living. Not only that but she knew that if she were to force victor into staying down here with her in the land of the dead, he would be heartbroken and torn because he couldn't be with his true love, victoria. I certainly wouldn't want my love to suffer like that.
So emily decided that it's best for victor to be with someone who he truly loves and someone who can take her place and loves him back. That's victoria. Besides victoria loved victor back and didn't want to marry that baron von francis guy or something. She even ran away from her home just to find victor and stay with him. That's love.
so cut victoria some slack because she loves victor too and lets face it. Victoria loves victor and victor loves her. I'm really sad for emily and sad that she never got a chance to be happy, but she's at peace now, and that butterfly scene simply was touching. I don't really hate the ending at all. Tim burton simply is the best!
i love the ending of the movie.Emily truly loved Victor but she saw that he would be happy only with Victoria so she let him go .i think that if you truly love someone you should let him(or her)go besides i love the butterflies at the end
The reason I wouldn't change the ending is because the movie is just like this. It shows how Emily truly is... What Emily would do for the man she truly loves... for Victor. It was suppose to be a sad ending. So be it!
personally i am torn although i am a large Emily fan and i would have loved Emily to end up with Victor instead of victoria. I love how it ended because if Emily hadnt given up victor i wouldnt have love her as much a i do. by giving him up she was setting him free, and not being self fish. I so upset that she loved victor and he didnt love her back, she deserves someone better
I cry every time i watch this. It never gets old for me. And i can play Victor's song on the piano, and Emily and Victor's duet. and sometimes i cry when i do...
I think it was a really sweet ending but i loved Emily and Victor, i felt like there wasnt any chemistry with victor and victoria. But the ending was still really sweet. But i kinda hoped that Emily was alive.
look towards the bottom of this page you'll find it
it's a very lovely story
