What is your opinion on Katy perry?

I'm going to say it straight-I hate her. A lot. For multiple reasons.

But I'm not going to get into everything I hate about her. But I think she's doing an awful thing by using Christianity as an excuse to put artists that are more successful than her down. It's just wrong.

Also, she's giving Christians a very bad name by what she's doing. She's not trying to fight for us-no, she's just being jealous.

Also, she was supposedly raised as a good little Christian girl. So why was her first single "I Kissed A Girl". Naughty, for a pastor's daughter. If she wants to pretend to be such a good little Christian, she's going to have to act the part, which means no kissing girls, dirty lyrics, or being in videos where she's wearing practically nothing. Hyppocrite.

I have zero opinion about Katy Perry one way or another.

I worry about her. There is a video of her being on a talk show where she relates her leaving Christian music to selling her soul to the devil. Now, I don't know if she meant this literally, but it's still something to consider about her.

She stopped being a Christian because she "didn't like it" in which she wasn't actually a Christian, because faith lasts forever.

No offense, but those using the word, *hate* r the ones being the real hypocrites. Its doubtful u know Katy Perry personally, so stop assuming when u dont know. Also, spreading hate around is giving Christians a bad name too.

Personally, I like some of Katy Perry's music. I like a variety of today's pop/dance music. Does it say anywhere that I cant? No. Ur not supposed to judge a person by one silly comment, their looks, etc., so please stop.

It's sad that she grew up in a christian home and sang at her church and ended up like this. I don't get it. Very sad!

HATE HATE HATE...Really, Christians? Is that ALL we ever talk about? "We were born to EMBRACE, not accept it." Uh-um..what about GRACE, like what Christ gives to us daily when we stumble and fall? Please, let's NOT be hypocrites. We've ALL done wrong, not just Katy. I don't listen to her music and I also don't agree with her, but I do not hate her at all. Love the person, not the morals. She's just confused. I ENTIRELY disagree with you all who are continuously saying "I just hate her." WHY?! She's gone astray, but does that mean that we outright demolish EVERYTHING about the poor girl? You all are just the type of people who give us Christians a bad reputation. PLEASE, embrace her; you don't need to accept her views, but you MUST NOT hate the poor girl. Love triumphs over all. Everyone just needs a little affection and, above all, GRACE!!!!!

Meh, I don't really like her music. Not because her music now is "un-Christian" or whatever, but because my music style changed and I'm not into that specific genre of music anymore. On a sidenote, I also hate songs about sex, but that isn't the sole reason I don't listen to her... except for the song "Firework", which is catchy and I actually like the lyrics. But, you know, besides that.... xD
