I finally saw Sinbad :Legend of the Seven Seas for the first time! I LOVED it! WOW! I have never seen animation like that! I loved how it was hand-drawn, but cgi was used just enough to make it visually mind-blowing! I loved the characters and the development of each one. Marina and Eris are gorgeous. The music is great, too. I loved the relationships between Marina, Proteus, and Sinbad. Even though I have only seen it once, I would rate it very high, and maybe even list in my favorites. Oh man.. i hate myself right now... I was doing a picspam for Angelica (Titanic) and used the Youtube videos in bad quality for it. After that i went through my dvds only to realise, that i have bought the dvd.. Never opend it, was still sealed... just put it into my laptop..and the quality is amazing.... Do you remember in the swan princess, where after Prince Derek reunited with Odette, they planned to meet at the ball so Derek can make a vow to her, but then Rothbart found out and locked Odette up and tricked Derek into making a vow to Bridget (who was disguised as Odette)? I dreamt the same scene only instead of Derek/Odette, it was Spongebob/Sandy and instead of Rothbart, it was Plankton! He used some random small ugly purple octopus (who played Bridget). i watched the prince of egypt today and it reminded me, why its one of my fav. animated movies ever and why i like it more than most disney movies. dont get me wrong, i love disney.. but theres not really a movie from them i would call, like the prince of egypt, an epic movie. i just dont get the feeling from most of them as i do with this one <3 when i will someday be an animator, i would love to work on a dreamworks 2d animation... So I finally watched The Thief and the Cobbler (Recobbled Cut) for the first time and it was really weird - which is why I really LOVE it. I love the optical illusions created in almost every scene. I love the fact that Vincent Price voiced ZigZag. Princess YumYum is really pretty and Tack is such a sweetheart, though I didn't like how deep Sean Connery voiced him. Overall, this movie is going to be listed in my favorite animated movies. :) Posted over a year ago
