Cher Lloyd’s next single “With Ur Love” may have a possible U.S. release. Do you think her Swagger Jagger can help her move up the U.S. pop charts?
Cher Lloyd’s already had a No. 1 hit in the U.K., but can her Swagger Jagger carry her into the U.S. and up the pop charts? That remains to be seen. The former X Factor contestant is releasing a new single, “With Ur Love,” which is likely to be available in the U.S. The release date and promotion have not been revealed.
“With Ur Love” will come out in the U.K. on October 30, and the song has two notable hit-makers behind it: songwriter Savan Kotecha, who co-wrote Usher’s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love” and Britney Spears’ “I Wanna Go,” and Swedish producer Max Martin. Featuring Mike Posner, “With Ur Love” is also expected to be a change of style for Lloyd, showcasing more of her singing talent. She stated she: "actually gets to sing instead of jumping around like an idiot.”
Lloyd’s full album will
hit U.K. stores on November 7.
As one of the more visible stars in the U.K. at the moment, Lloyd recently received a death threat on Twitter. Lloyd posted an innocuous message on her account: ''Its mamma lloyds birthday!! Love you mum! Xxxx.”
And one of her followers replied: “shut the f*ck up before I kill your mum in front of you.”
The “Swagger Jagger” singer then wrote: “I'm sure you'd go to jail for that and get into deep s*it, come on think about it dumb a*ss.” But then followed it with: “I don't know why I let silly things like that get to me. I'm only human... I think? Hahaha!”
Being a former X Factor contestant, Lloyd recently stated that she wished new judge Tulisa Contostavlos, of N-Dubz, would have mentored her. The fourth-place finisher stated to The Mirror: "Tulisa's brilliant. I kind of wish I was on now so she could teach me a few things. She's really cool. […] She is more like me and would maybe understand my Swagger Jagger."
