Julian lay on his bed, trying to fall asleep, when the latch of the door was pushed down. He frowned and sat up straight.
The door opened and dirty shoes appeared, followed by a pair of legs inside a jeans. Then a pale hand appeared and Julian saw a glimpse of red hair.
He climbed out of bed and walked to the door, but before he could open it, Anna stormed inside and grabbed his throat.
“Where is it?” she hissed hoarse. Her voice sounded like she hadn’t used it in a very long time. Julian’s throat was still sore from Cas’ attack and his eyes bulged. “I…” was all he managed to say. Anna lifted him from the ground and threw him back on the bed.
She walked to the pedestal cupboard and opened it. She searched it and growled when she didn’t find what she was looking for.
She ran back to the bed. “Where is it?” she yelled angry. She was about to force her hand in Julian’s stomach when she heard someone call her name. She withdrew her hand and vanished into thin air.
She materialized in Sam and Dean’s motel room.
“What is it that you want?” she asked hostile. Sam and Dean traded glances. “I’m sorry. I’m a little on edge” Anna explained a little kinder. “You have no idea what’s going on up there” She took a deep breath. “What can I do for you?”
“We need to know how we can restore someone’s memory” Sam explained. Anna nodded in understanding. “This is about Meg” “How do you know?” Dean asked suspicious. “I’m the one who erased her memory” Anna answered.
“Can you restore it?” Sam asked excited.
“I can’t” Anna replied and Sam sighed disappointed. “But you can. Meg’s memories are locked inside Heaven. If I go back there they will kill me. I escaped just in time”
“Why would they want to kill you?” Sam asked curious.
“There’s no time to explain” Anna said quick. “Only one of you can go. The other has to stay here and keep an eye on Cas to make sure he doesn’t do anything to hurt himself”
Dean and Sam traded glances again.
“I’ll go” Dean decided.

Since there was no way any of them was going to get any sleep, they packed their bags and loaded the Impala. Dean placed himself behind the wheel, Sam sat next to him and Meg on the backseat.
“First stop: Pontiac, Illinois” Dean said, as he started the engines and drove ahead. As they drove Dean turned on the radio to break the silence.
Meg stared out of the window. She felt utterly powerless. Had she still been a demon she would’ve just zapped herself to him. But then maybe she wouldn’t have felt this way and she wouldn’t even bother to go find him.
Maybe this was a sign. Maybe she was supposed to let go and go back to her old life.
No!, she reproached herself. You’re not going back to killing for fun. You didn’t get this far to throw it all away. You’re going to find Cas and get him back.
“Everything okay, there?” Dean asked.
“Yeah, I’m good” Meg replied with a mischievous smile.
