After his conversation with Meg Craig had a meeting with Sam Winchester. Sam had called him. He knew he was a good attorney, because he had gotten Cas out of jail, so maybe he could do the same for Meg.
“She doesn’t remember anything” Craig started. “But maybe that’s a good thing. She won’t say the wrong kind of things”
“Do you have a strategy?” Sam asked.
“I do” Craig confirmed. “I want the judge to believe she’s actually Erin Gregor and that Evan Trumble is crazy”
“We kind of already told him what happened with Erin” Sam said hesitant. “He knows Meg possessed and killed her”
Craig raised his eyebrows. “Sure” he commented cynical. “I’m fairly certain that if Evan says this to the judge and the jury they will believe he’s crazy. We’ll also tell the jury Meg was abducted by Castiel and that he called her Meg and so she started to believe that was her name”
“What about the woman Meg saw?” Sam asked. “She saw a woman on the day Erin’s parents were killed”
“Yes, the FBI believes Meg has killed both her parents” Craig nodded. “But there’s reason to believe there was someone else with her that day. The same evening a girl was killed, but the way she was killed points to a third person. She was stabbed in the back and whoever killed her was sitting on the backseat of the car. The FBI found no traces of Meg there. So perhaps Meg really is innocent”

Since there was no way any of them was going to get any sleep, they packed their bags and loaded the Impala. Dean placed himself behind the wheel, Sam sat next to him and Meg on the backseat.
“First stop: Pontiac, Illinois” Dean said, as he started the engines and drove ahead. As they drove Dean turned on the radio to break the silence.
Meg stared out of the window. She felt utterly powerless. Had she still been a demon she would’ve just zapped herself to him. But then maybe she wouldn’t have felt this way and she wouldn’t even bother to go find him.
Maybe this was a sign. Maybe she was supposed to let go and go back to her old life.
No!, she reproached herself. You’re not going back to killing for fun. You didn’t get this far to throw it all away. You’re going to find Cas and get him back.
“Everything okay, there?” Dean asked.
“Yeah, I’m good” Meg replied with a mischievous smile.
