Eliminate most of the gross out humor, and give it a more epic Lord of the Rings-fantasy epic story. Sorta like how the trailers promised.

-do more with the fight scene where she and Elinor destroyed each other's beloved things. that could've been used but went no where. Elinor regrets burning the bow and nothing is ever mentioned about the scene again. show her give her a new one or something. I wish Merida would have shown regret ruining the tapestry but that might not work if she's just gonna go to the witch a minute later.

-not portray every male character but the triplets as stupid, incompetent buffoons who need the much-smarter women to do stuff for them.

-do a proper ending, dangit! No way would the clans just peacefully sail off after being humiliated and rejected.

i love the mother-daughter focus in it...i wouldn't want to shift the focus anywhere else

Brave is wonderful but the human-change-into-bear is too much like Brother Bear. And more scenes of Merida-MacGuffin would be nice.
