Finally someone who thinks that too :) Whenever I say it could go any way, other fans get mad at me say she's obviously going to be Young Macguffin

Young Macguffin and any of them are good for her, she doesn't like any of them and they are completly different

The reason I think it could be Young Macguffin is that Merida finds him funny at several points. I think she could possibly understand his speech. But it is possible for her to fall for Young Macintosh or Wee Dingwall.

I can't choose because they all suck. Haha. Merida is way out of their league. XD I hope a better guy shows up in the future. I do remember Merida laughing at Young MacGuffin's gibberish (and her eye peeking out when she first sees him) but I don't think there will be any communication between them if the man can't talk.

Lol, I'm sorry, but I see none of these being with Merida. I can't even chose a "best match" because I can't find one!

I kept wondering whether she was going to fall in love with one of these dudes of her own accord, someone else, or no one (yet, anyhow.) I thought that MacGuffin would be the most likely actual contender.

In a sense, yes, they're all kind of goofy ruffians and they do SEEM to be "unworthy" of her...but then again, Merida's not going to be an uppity snob and look down on somebody for seeming "unprincely" and "below" her. Just maaaaybe if they got to know one another on their own terms, and the guys weren't simply competing for the hand of a maiden they don't even know (I can just hear her saying, "I am NOT a prize to be won!")...then who knows? There might be more to any one of them than it appears, and a relationship could potentially form if given time to unfold naturally.

I really wouldn't see her with Dingwall romantically...only as friends. McIntosh possibly, as she could be a match for his ego and attitude, and they might make an intriguing couple. However, the one she seemed to like best was MacGuffin. He reminded me of Chien Po--large-statured but quiet, gentle, unassuming, undemanding. Merida might be able to understand his garbled speech better than others, and even if that was still tricky, I honestly think she'd like a soft-spoken sort of guy. No matter what, she'd want to be the dominant one in the relationship and "wear the pants," so to speak, so I think she'd find him cute, endearing, and interesting.

Of course, I kind of figured she'd end up finding "true love" elsewhere on her own, and probably just befriend this trio after the events of the film...but yeah, if it was going to turn out to be one of them after all, from what we know...my money would be on MacGuffin. Second choice, McIntosh.

I don't think she should be with any of them, but out of the three, i guess i choose Young Macguffin. He seems to be a fairly decent guy and would probably be sensitive to Merida's needs like her father is to her mother's needs.
