Bones A screw-up? Or did I remember incorrectly?

I just thought of this suddenly. Isn't Gormagon's apprentice supposed to be a widow's son? I know the victims are, but I thought that the apprentice had to be one, too. Zack isn't one though, I'm fairly certain.

Im not sure i cant remember. All the victims had to be but i duno about the apprentice!
