Pretty sure that Orihime would have to be a pretty freaky chick to have any feelings for Ulquiorra, and I'm even more certain that Ulquiorra would have an incredibly hard time returning those feelings. Ulquiorra hardly understands human feelings at all, let alone love.

Let's have a look at their history, shall we? The first time they meet in Karakura Town, Ulquiorra has absolutely no compunction with killing her. None at all. In fact, he told Yammy to kill her. Then, when he finds out that she's valuable, he catches up with her again and threatens all of those she loves. The third time they meet is when she returns to be imprisoned, beaten by other Arrancar (because he could care less about how disfigured her body is), and then threatened with death again at least one more time, this time by him directly. The last moment they share is, frankly, puzzling. Orihime, for reasons we don't understand, isn't afraid of Ulquiorra in his last moments despite this string of death threats.

Now that's the basis for a solid relationship if I ever saw one!

"freaky-chic" -that one was VERY funny WhiteFlame, most accurate funny, too. What it WOULD be is a SICK relationship if they were together, very sick & diseased, I think. Yes.

No and these stupid made-up love things for Bleach are really annoying... Who cares, Bleach was always about a passing interest in love, not full-on relationships.

Yes, but no.

I think they look cute as hell together and I love the idea of them together, but I doubt it would have ever happened.

There's a thing called "Stockholm Syndrome", it's quite different from love.

Said that myself. Practically the definition of an unhealthy relationship.

Nope. For one thing...in this case IF a relationship should exist at all, wouldn't it be Rukia? Much as I dislike the chick elements/these especially, but Rukia actually makes sense for those that would understand why (*no spoilers* because some people are actually not as far as others in Bleach, I know, I have newbie friends).

Yeah, but its more about who Orihime would be with... Whether it is Uryu, Ichigo or Ulquiorra. Though I dislike these things, my take is that Rukia and Orihime both have the same percentage of chance with Ichigo. I can't really see Uryu with Orihime and definitely not Ulquiorra. XD

A heart? Ulquiorra didn't suddenly turn into The Grinch just before he died. On the verge of death, he finally understood something he simply couldn't grasp before. That doesn't equate to fuzzy feelings.

I think any attempt to understand Ulquiorra's thoughts that led to that tragic death are an exercise in imagination. Kubo gave us scant little to work with, but for me, based off of everything we saw from Ulquiorra, he could hardly comprehend the idea of love, let alone feel it. Though that's just my interpretation.

That's how literary analysis works. Kubo gave us plenty material to talk about and our theories are not unfounded. I don't think Ulquiorra's fully understood his feelings either, but he fought them and tried to prove Orihime wrong. At the end she proved him right and gave him a chance at redemption. If Kubo ever intended them to be together, Ulquiottra received a sufficient enough beating, hearts included.

Nope. They need actual character development before they are actually suited for each other. Ulquiorra honestly didn't last long enough for them to actually become suited for each other.

While I do not believe LOVE is the correct word to describe what transpired between Ulquiorra and Orihime. I have this point of view starting with Orihime she was kind of heart lets not forget how many times Loly attacked her and she held no grudge against her. I do believe around Ulquiorra she showed her resolve to protect her friends and plz lets not forget if anyone aside from Rukia ever gave her a compliment on her strength that was Ulquiorra. Now from my point of view on Ulquiorra yes he kidnapped her also threaten her but in the end he took a slap from her not the other way around even when Aizen said she was unnecessary he could have dispose of her in a heart beat instead he questions her (taunts) and what I find most interesting is why out of everything The Heart is what he wants to know about (not love) Orihime's view of the heart is a connection people make. And I might be wrong but Ichigo said it him self (Orihime looked more pained to see him die) during his fight with Yammy. If there was no connection shouldn't she be happy he is gone? And the look on his face on that last moment Ichigo didn't matter anymore did he even mantion Aizen? Nope all he cared was how she felt about him (not for him). He didn't gain a material heart that beats in our chest he gained the heart Orihime talked to him about one that grows between 2 people who connect. I dont know Tite's intentions on that scene but if you dont see the connection Kubo's work must of being bad. To me is not a romantic thing thou I do approve of Ulquihime I know in the anime and manga is only about connection
