What does everyone think of this whole concept of bringing someone back from a supposedly permanent fate?

Yeah, I know, this is a spoiler, though if it's surprising to anyone, I'll be surprised. Alright, so Ichigo has lost his shinigami powers, and now he's apparently got some opportunity to get them back (shocking, I know). I suppose I have slightly fewer problems with this than the idea of bringing dead people back to life, but it follows the same general trend: his fate of not having shinigami powers for the rest of his life was made apparent before he used the final getsuga tenshou. So I'd like to get everyone elses' opinion on this. While we're all very big on bringing back our hero, I feel this is more than a bit of Deux Ex Machina. No matter what the method, it seems a bit ridiculous to pretend that anything is permanent and then reverse it.
