I have been observing Nintendo's treatment of Birdo since Mario Kart Double Dash and onwards starting with the GBA remake of SMB2 with Super Mario Advance. She was playable in Double Dash, but the disrespect only started from there. She was a boss you had to beat up by throwing her own eggs at her in the OG of SMB2. She was a boss you had to physically assault in Super Mario RPG and the first entry of the Mario and Luigi series, where she was partnered with Popple. Already flipped the disrespect switch right there. She was missing or removed from (6?) Mario Kart games. She helps you in Wario's Woods, but she's not in Super Mario Kart, or Mario Kart 64, depsite being playable in Mario Tennis 64? OK, makes sense (not!). She was removed from Mario Kart DS and replaced by Daisy, but her pink Egg 1 still exists in the files of the game. The finish line of Coconut Mall in Mario Kart Wii looks to be in Birdo's colors, but she still doesn't have her own course. This was changed to red and white in 8 Deluxe. Birdo hasn't reappeared in the Mario Kart franchise until 8 Deluxe as DLC, and Tour as a random chance driver to get. In Mario Kart 7's N64 Luigi Circuit, there are several copies of the OG pink Birdo (with a red bow) in the stands. I'll post a photo I took as evidence. Why would Nintendo lock her away from us fans as purchasable DLC in 8 Deluxe?? To get money off of us, that's why. But I'm not giving any to them. They did Birdo and her fanbase dirty. Also, there's no toy version of her in her Wild Wing. When is that gonna be made? In games where she is unlockable for free, we had to do some ridiculously hard tasks, like do 16 different Time Trials in Mario Kart Wii, or get a gold trophy in Mushrom Tourney (Hard) in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. This has to stop. Birdo deserves more love and attention. I don't know if the fans here put up with it, because I sure won't. Birdo is the best Mario character because she's cute, funny, a physical powerhouse, and won't take sh*t from anyone who insults her and calls her ugly. Haters beware.
