I always thought Kyo from Fruits Basket is the a bit better version of Tamaki from Host club.Though I love both.

I probably can do better so, Kyoko from Magica Madoka is the spiritual successor of Alois from Black Butler 2.

Near aka Nate River from Death Note became L's spiritual successor and carried on with the Kira investigation.

I'd say Mello too but Near was more like L personality wise and all.
