It was my second anime I had ever watched, after Deadman Wonderland. I had fallen in love with DW, so I couldn't wait to start up another anime and have a whole new experience. Well, that was big fat mistake. I was freaked out by episode 3, losing it by episode 6, and complete loss of my sanity occured by the 9th. It traumatized me in a Nightmare on Elm Street type of way. I hated the anime because it was completely traumatizing and wanted nothing to do with it ever again.
However, very recently, I've been reflecting on it. I've been making up short stories for the characters, listening to the soundtrack, and scrolling through fanart. In less than a week, my opinion of the entire anime was flipped upon its head and now it's hovering around 3rd or 4th on my list of favorites. I'm planning to watch the movies and read the manga, and I'm considering buying some merchandise at my next convention. So you could say I've gone from detesting to adoring the anime in a short amount of time. So there's my Puella Magi Madoka Magica experience.
I still don't trust Kyubey, though....
