Nisekoi is similar to My Bride is a Mermaid in that it's a romantic comedy that involves a yakuza family. I kind of think of it as the opposite of My Bride is a Mermaid, in that, in this series, the Yakuza (family of the boy) and the American Mob (family of the girl) are INSISTING that the two of them date each other against their will, or else a war will break out between the rival gangs. The anime's not out quite yet, but I've been following the manga.
