I believe Roronoa Zorro got his name from the movie Zorro. I think Zorro was played by Antonio Banderas.

Ah.. Piece of cake!Zoro got his name from his katana...They way he cuts stuff.If you watch closely,when the whole sceene is black,when Zoro cuts something...Like the time he cut bamboo and shove a piece of it into Usopp's mouth to sneak into the Going Merry.To bring Apis's dragon,Ryuuji back to his home..A "Z" sybol would appear..That's how Zoro got his name i think..
