It always depends. Sometimes the manga bothers me, but other times it's the anime that bothers me. Like... I tried reading Ouran, but it made me confused. And after reading Fruits Basket, I yelled at the anime. I usually try to read the manga first, but sometimes I'm just in a rush. If I watch the anime first, I'll usually read the manga to see the difference.
I think both, but it depends on what it is. Like, if I'm shown the anime version first, I'll probably only watch the anime. But, if I find the manga first, I'll more than likely watch the anime for it too.
Example: I started watching Soul Eater and Durarara!! before I knew there was a manga version of each. So kinda just stuck with the anime version because I'm too lazy.

Manga is more portable for me than anime, but I still have to go with anime, as manga can sometimes be hard to understand. Like you don't know which character is speaking, or what a picture is depicting.
