I think each of these couples has their own burden to bare, especially if death or different worlds came between them. But I think out of all these for me the most tragic couple is Mitsuki and Takuto from Full Moon. First because he's a Death Spirit sent to take the soul of a dying human girl. Second: Mistsuki spends her entire last year chasing after another guy who was also her first love, causing Takuto an endless amount of pain. Third: inspite of his duty and the fact that it's forbidden for a death spirit to love a human, Takuto falls for Mistsuki and is willing to sacrifice everything for her, even if she never returns his affections. Now in a way it did work out in the end, but their love story left you with a huge cliffhanger...so I'd like to think they were together in the end:)

They has happy ending, actually. I suggest one couple that have soo tragic love story; Jellal and Erza - Fairy Tail :)

Takuto and Mitsuki both really go through a lot to get to where they got to. They had to go through death, jealousy, attachments, and pain. Poor Takuto was sent to kill the girl he would fall in love with! It just makes me so depressed to think of all the suffering they went through to be together.

They've a very good story!
