	milky-way said: I don't like it, but I can understand why they do it in some medical research cases. It takes far too long for humans to mature and reproduce and grow old to see the full effects of drugs and diseases on them. Mice, on the other hand, reproduce quickly and have large amounts of offspring, which means that research can advance far more quickly than if we used humans. Computer models are always the best, but unfortunately we need to find out how drugs affect living organisms before we can make computer models based on that. Testing cosmetics... well, I think that's completely unnecessary. We just need to get by without using cosmetics, it won't kill us. posted over a year ago.
