If there had been any girl in the movie who you think would have turned his life around and been "the one" to make him see how bad the life he'd been living was (etc) Who do you think it would have been (I know that's impossible; his character didn't allow for that kind of change, but 'what if'!)?

Personally, I think it would have been the model ... Daisy. I think that she was so sweet, and innocent, and they should have been together ... part of it was the way she spoke, and the whole "There's something sweet about you"! Sooo cute!
