To be honest, Alice is still Alice, short or tall. Also, it would be hard to find someone who could pull Alice off, is her book height, and is a good actress. Ashley Greene, for both me and Stephenie Meyer ("Oh my God! You found Alice!") is perfect for the role of Alice. So she's too tall to play her, so what? Would you rather Ashley Greene is a bit too tall when she played Alice, or have some other girl who can't act and can't pull her off play her, just because she's small? Just saying...

I know 2 great actresses, who are very short (ok taller than alice, but short) lucy hale and rachael leigh cook. and rachael is stephenies perfekt alice, alice human eyecolour is darkbrown like rachael and in a twilight outtake on her site (stepheniemeyer.com, Orginal Chapter 20 "Flight" a.k.a Shopping with Alice) is her name on a credit card rachel lee. ok she is 32 but she looks very young.
