My first Alice Cullen fan fiction didn't go so well, so I'm trying again.

The night sky was just beginning to turn dark as Mary stood in the cold of the night waiting at the bus stop. A pillow clutched to her chest and a over night bag in the other hand, she shivered and not just because of the freezing cold air. She had heard of the stories told around camp fires, the stories about the streets of Illinois. They seemed ridiculous to Mary the night that she had heard them, but now as she stood alone in the almost black of the night they didn't seem too made-up. They seemed honest and realistic.
"Hurry up bus, please" Mary said to the outside world. Behind her the bushes started rustling and the wind blew the trees, swaying the branches. The sound of the rustling stopped Mary's shivering. She froze. A million possible defense strategies ran through her mind, and none she could do.
"It's okay, it's just the wind. The wind always does this, it's just the wind Mary." Mary said, this time whispering "Just turn around and nothing will be there." The rustling had stopped. Slowly Mary began to turn her head.
"Boo!" A girl was right in front of her, her back to the bush.
"Arrgghh!" Mary screamed and jumped back in fright. The girl began to laugh, hard.
"Sarah what are you doing here?" Mary asked when she eventually recovered. It took Sarah a while to stop laughing.
"Well I called your house and your brother said you were waiting at the bus stop. I decided to come to the sleepover, obviously" Sarah held up her pillow and overnight bag for display "and I wanted to come with you. So when I arrived here and saw you waiting alone and shivering; I remembered the night at the park and how scared you were with those stories and decided to have some fun and oh the bus is coming." Mary stood and stared at her friend, anger and humor in her eyes.
They paid their fair and walked on the bus.
"You know I don't like you right now, you know that?" Mary said, pushing Sarah into the seats.
"Mary I know you, you can't stay mad at me." Sarah replied, confidence in her voice. They took their seats at the back of the bus and immediately began to laugh and talk. The incident already forgotten.
Twenty minutes had gone by and then finally it was their stop. Reluctantly they exited the bus and began to walk the streets to Sophie's house. The sun had set and the darkness was everywhere, it was colder than before. Their parkers and tracksuits not warm enough.
Houses lined the streets they walked but Mary couldn't help but notice it was straight out of a horror film. Whispers and voices filled the night, they came from everywhere in each direction. Frantically they both looked around, terror sketched perfectly on their faces and they ran the next couple of streets to Sophie's house.
"You should have seen you face when I scared you" Sarah teased as they walked the front steps.
"Your seriously bringing this up now, when your face matched mine completely as we ran here" Mary said back and no reply came from Sarah. She stayed silent as they waited at the front door.
"Don't tell anyone about that, okay?" Sarah pleaded. Mary was just about to answer when the door swung open and Sophie stood here.
"Don't tell anyone about what?" Sophie asked and Sarah slumped, embarrassed. She was always the tough one.
"Oh nothing" Mary said as they walk past her and into the warmth of the house. The rest of the girls were seated in a circle with a bottle in the middle. Sarah saw this and sighed.
"Come on girls were seriously not going to play spin the bottle with no boys?"
"No of course not, were playing truth or dare" A girl answered. This time Mary sighed.
"Were fifteen."
"So, come on it will be fun" Sophie said. Sarah and Mary sat down, joining the game of truth or dare.
Sophie spun the bottle. Everyone focused on it, watching where it would land. Hoping it wouldn't be them. It started slowing down until it stopped, pointing too Mary.
"Okay Mary, truth or dare?" Sophie asked.
"Umm, truth?" Mary said. Sophie pondered over the question and then came out with it. "Tell us what happened between you and Bret at his party. I saw you go upstairs." Everyone oohed and waited anxiously for her truth.
"What you guys are thinking didn't happen. We went up stairs and made out, that's all" Mary said, embarrassed. She never told anyone what she did with her boyfriends and she had to do during a stupid game of truth or dare.
"Did any clothes come off?" Rachel asked.
"Yeah did any?" Others said.
Can't they just leave it alone?
"No! Girls you know me, of course nothing came off. Okay so I spin it do I?" Mary said. Taking the stares away from her she spun it and the bottle pointed to Heidi.
"Dare" Heidi immediately said. Sarah whispered in Mary's ear. "No I can't, that's too mean" Mary whispered back, but not quiet enough.
"No no, I'm sure it's not that bad. I'll do it, just tell me" Heidi pleaded. Mary glanced at Sarah, unsure. Sarah urged her on.
"Go sit at the bottom of Sophie's drive way for thirty minutes" Mary announced. Heidi hesitated for just a second and then began to boast about how easy it would be. She then left.
It really was dark outside. Night time had come, accompanied by the howls from animals in the distant and there were no lights in Sophie's street.
The game went on for another thirty minutes. Dares and truths, laughter and crying and it all only stopped when Heidi's scream pierced the night.
"Heidi" Mary cried. The circle of girls ran, as fast as they could to the drive way. They switched the front light on and found Heidi shaking on the ground crying. Mary and Sarah were the first to reach her. Picking her up as they rushed her inside.
"What happened?" Mary asked. This is all my fault.
"I was just sitting there when suddenly something grabbed my leg. I didn't even hear it approach and I didn't see it. It began to pull me but then I screamed, all the street lights turned on and it just vanished." Heidi sobbed. The girls were whispering, scared.
"Did it bite you, hurt you? Are you okay?" Sophie asked, anxiously. Everyone was crowded around her at this point. She sat on the couch.
"No, whatever it was or whoever it was didn't hurt me. It's okay guys I'm fine, I was just in shock. Lets play twister." It was just like Heidi to defend her honor, but the girls weren't impressed. They were scared. One of their sleepovers had never turned dangerous.
Noticing Heidi's plea Rachel agreed to twister and got it started. The whispers kept continuing though and the stories came back to Mary in a flash of words. She never took her eyes off Heidi.

"Did you get one?" The leader asked furiously.
"Dison I'm sorry, she screamed and the whole street came out before I could take her away." Anna whimpered.
"Damn it Anna your a vampire. Do you here me? A vampire, we can kill and run at amazing speed. You could have taken that girl before any of the neighbours saw you. You are a disgrace. Simon take her away"
"No, no please don't. I swear I'll do better. I'll leave now and come back with two humans, please don't kill me." Anna begged, her eyes filled with misery. She looked into her masters eyes and saw enjoyment, murder and hunger.
"Oh Anna, were not going to kill you, were going rip you apart." Dison smiled, showing his teeth. Simon, Dison and Maui were tearing her apart before she got to scream.

Chapter 1 The Wedding
"Nessie!" Bella called. I quickly slipped on my faded blue jeans, a bright pink tang top, and some flip flops, knowing this was the only time I would be able to wear them. I dashed to the bathroom to take a shower, but before I got in, I smelled smoke. "Oh no." I muttered, then scurried to the kitchen, where my soon-to-be husband was standing behind the counter, holding burnt cereal, although I have no clue how he could burn cereal. "Jacob!" I playfully teased him. "I leave you alone for a night, and you burn my breakfast!" "Hey! At least I didn't burn the HOUSE down." he teased back. I ran to Alice's room to get ready for the wedding

When the Cullens leave in New Moon, Alice doesn't say goodbye to Bella in order to make a clean break. She later comes back because she thinks that Bella has committed suicide, but in reality, Bella was just cliff diving. She tells Bella what the Cullens have been up to and finds out how hard it was for Bella when they all left her. When Jacob Black tells Edward (thinking that he was Carlisle talking to him on the phone) that Charlie is "at the funeral", Edward thinks he meant Bella's funeral, though he was actually referring to Harry Clearwater's. Alice sees this and she helps Bella get to Volterra, Italy to stop Edward from exposing himself to the world and being killed by the Volturi. She later votes in favor of Bella becoming a vampire. Carlisle is the one chosen to change Bella, because Alice decides that she can't. Bella is trying to get Edward to change her, but Edward disapproves.
