I first saw Galaxy Quest at age 9, before the HP movies even came out! He's been my favorite actor ever since :)

I first saw Alan on Sweeney Todd 4 years ago but I... didn't notice him (Sorry!) Then I really know about him through HP on 2010. :P

Yep, Robin Hood, at the theater. I remember laughing so hard I dropped my popcorn as he was dashing around in one really 'pissed off Sheriff' scene. Made me look for more of him.

First saw him in Galaxy Quest.

Die Hard and Robin Hood are the first two that I can always remember seeing him in, I can hear his voice and see his scenes from those movies clear as day, where others I have to think about to remember plots and character developement.
I've looked for his movies ever since. Harry Potter has been the third character of his that I will always remember everything about. I think HP will move to first place, followed by Sheriff Nottingham and then Hans.

For me, it was Die Hard oh so many years ago. I remember staying to watch the closing credits ( something that I don't always do) so that I could learn the name of that handsome devil with the great voice(-:
