Alan Rickman What do you think about Daniel Radcliffe saying that "Alan Rickman gives what is quite possibly the film performance of his career" in Deathly Hallows part 2?

It's not just the released bits that I've seen, it's also the statements from some of the film makers. Hey, grown men were crying on set...that's a definate indicator of Alan's power, I think.

I agree with you, BH. People crying in preproduction, while there is no special effects, no music, etc., that is saying something.

If only the Academy Awards could hear Dan... and give an Oscar to Alan - he truly deserves it.

And yes, can't wait to see the movie !

He should have gotten an Oscar a long time ago, An Awfully Big Adventure for me was the performance of his life. But I have a special spot in my heart just for Snape that is seperate from other Alan roles and actually, when I think of HP movies, I don't really see Alan, I see Snape and he's ALWAYS brilliant.

Thank you for clearing that up for me Lilith. I too see Alan in his movies as Alan, except for the HP movies (which I adore) where he is SNAPE, SNAPE, and only snape.

As much as I love Alan in his Role as Snape, I do think he was wonderful and maybe even better in Die Hard.

He is just so good in every role that he plays. Its impossible to pick out any one as the best. It wud be unfair to the other performances.

His performance as Snape was great (as a matter of fact I think he should have been nominated for an Oscar) but my favorites are still Rasputin, and Col. Brandon

He's great in the final Harry Potter film but he's better in Sweeney Todd.
