I'm sorry to say this but I think he has to. I think it'll be best for the show. It needs a new main character, coz let's face it how much more shit can Jack Bauer go through? I think they might kill him after Day 8. However they should only do this if they find a suitable replacement. It'd be cool if they got Chase Edmunds back, but I see that Kim is no longer with him, but that could make it even more interesting or oooh train Kim up to be in CTU when it reforms and she could seek vengeance for Jack (if and when he dies).
