Not my fave, quite a bit more flaws than other seasons but still even the "worst" of this show is better than the best of any other show.

I totally agree, nothing beats even the worst season of 24.

To me, this season had a lot to like, but the characters weren't as great.

I agree. Arlo was a pervert and not a funny one, just creepy. Cole was great but Dana was AWFUL! As for Omar Hassan, he was one of my favorite characters of the whole show. Plus I just absolutely HATE the Renee/Jack storyline they kept trying to sell us on. The fact that he went on a rampage right after Renee died to make it seem like she was the love of his life was poor writing IMO.

I kinda liked Arlo at some points with the Dana storyline and him being worried, Dana was okay and slightly annoying to me, I loved Cole. But sadly both Hassan brothers irritated me to no end. Yes Omar had his good points, but his cheating and paranoia bugged me. I think it wasn't that the death was Renee's that set Jack off at all. I think the senselessness of her murder and she was the tipping point to set off the pent up anger in Jack Bauer and the cover up was WAY too much and Jack wanted revenge for another chance lost and another friend dead out of many. Same with Audrey's death really, with him beheading Cheng Zhi. With his wife Teri's death, he hadn't evolved into the ruthless agent he later became, if he had, the reaction would have been even worse. So I liked Cole, I liked the minor Renee/Jack romance and Renee with the mob was amazing. Arlo and Dana could be annoying and I didn't like Bill Prady and anything he was involved with. Charles Logan and Jason Pillar made me SO mad! So, yeah, I kinda have some opinions on this season.

But the Renee/Jack thing was so forced to me, and literally because Kiefer himself just wanted to have sex on screen. He literally said that, so they super forced them to be together. The writing kinda tapered off near the end there and I know I would have loved season 8 even more if they hadn't done that. But what's done is done I guess.

Yeah, but they could have done worse, at least he was never involved with someone like Dana. I just don't mind Jack and Renee even if it was slightly forced just because they are a great couple to me.
