I loved both and found it hard to choose, but in the end I just had to go with Sherry Palmer.

Sherry was such a diabolical character. I loved her!

Although Martha was mentally instable, she didn't tolerate her no-good husband's actions. She did something about it. Sherry was the evil and twisted one. She always claimed to do everything for David, but really she did everything for her own advantage. I so did not like her.

I loved Martha. She went nuts but her good-for-nothing husband deserved it. Great acting, too, by the way. I liked how she stood up for what is right. Her getting in the car with the Suvarov's: best ever.

She was at first a pathetic character who eventually became someone really heroic. I liked her a lot. I also loved the relationship she forged with the presidents secret service man who became loyal to her.

Sherry never was technically the First Lady. Palmer divourced her before he was actually voted in.

Exactly. Sherry wasn't ever a first lady.
