I just found out that my article where I defend The Keys To The Kingdom version of Aurora made the Fanpop homepage! Unfortunately, no new comments yet. Now I'm hoping that my analysis of Anastasia Tremaine will make the homepage next. AWESOME!

Oh my gosh, Fanpop is showing up for me in Arabic. It's cool but I don't understand it, good that I know where everything is. The things that are posted are not in Arabic but the site itself is, didn't this happen to someone else recently? So weird, am I the only one this is happening too?

Maybe I need some sleep or I'm losing my mind but I'm telling you I'm seeing Arabic on the screen and I did not set it up that way. It wasn't like that a few hours ago. Fix this Fanpop, please!over a year ago
I did that once but everything was in Japanese. I, then realised that in Google I had accidentally clicked the Japanese version of Fanpop and corrected it back to English at the bottom of the page.over a year ago
It got fixed but that was weird, I know I didn't go to the Arabic version or accidentally set it to Arabic so that was really random but thank goodness it's back to normal.over a year ago
Pretty scary thing went down in my neck of the woods tonight. On the news, I hear there was a shooting in a rough part of Memphis. Then, we hear the police went on this chase to catch the shooter. He was finally caught, but the scary part is, he was afew minutes away from my house! Another reason why I want to move back to my old childhood suburb. My parents may hate it there, but I'M moving back there once I get financially stable.
Posted over a year ago
As of recent, we heard about 3 other people getting caught. While the original shooter was caught at the church my friend and my brother go to, which is a block or two away from my house, I still consider it afew minutes. As most of you know, I'm a model now, and once I get loads of money, I'm moving back to my old childhood suburb whether my parents like it or not.over a year ago
Oh...God. Anatomy class today was awful. The teacher presented new material, then gave us only ten minutes to absorb it, before he decided it was time to "test our knowledge." Needless to say, the outcome was bad... I don't have a photographic memory, and can't learn precise details in only ten minutes! Talk about unfair expectations... :Sover a year ago
I've been thinking about something weird lately; since Triton's wife died, and he was left with seven daughters, who takes the throne once he resigns/dies? Does the oldest daughter's husband take it? If the oldest daughter isn't married but another daughter is, would her husband take the throne? If Ariel's dad died before any of the other daughters got married, would Eric, a natural-born human become ruler? Could a daughter by herself just rule as a queen?
Posted over a year ago
I guess Attina (the oldest sisters) will take the throne as Queen of Atlantica. FYI I found the comic in Disney wiki that she getting married: linkover a year ago
The oldest daughter is in line for the throne, next. This is why when some people use the argument that Ariel "should have accepted more responsibility for the daily running of he kingdom" and "should have stayed in the sea, and been at EVERY SINGLE ONE of the music recitals," I just shrug because THAT MAKES SO LITTLE SENSE. Ariel has SIX sisters, not 2. She was never going to be queen under the sea. Just look at prince Harry of England. He likely will never be king. His grandmother has lived a long life, God Bless her. His father is next in line. His brother, William and Kate Middleton are next, after that. Harry won't be king unless all of his family members parish or have some dire health problems. Back to my point. Ariel would never have gotten "anywhere" while under the sea. So if Ariel wanted to become a human, I thought "that's perfectly fine!" Ariel would have very little else to do but be "married off."over a year ago
^^ Ariel being "married off" for her singing voice would make a BORING movie, just like TPATF, imo. I'm glad Disney let Ariel "take charge" of her existence, and "leave the sea." It made for more of a thrill ride, and the movie was way more suspenseful and fun...over a year ago
In the once canon TV series and books or comics, Aquata was next in line for the throne. She had a boyfriend named Fin, who she was presumably going to marry and then rule with when Triton died.over a year ago
This was back when the first movie concert sister line-up had more meaning behind it aka oldest to youngest sister in the song. Long before Ariel's beginning remade everything we once knew.over a year ago
Don't misunderstand though, I'm not complaining about Attina and Alana being oldest and second oldest now - the crown and tiara gives the in line for throne thing more sense.over a year ago
For some reason I've completely stopped getting Email notifications from Fanpop. At first they were all going into my junk Email box, now they've stopped! Has anybody else had this problem?

Nope. But I have been noticing that whenever someone posts on a forum that it doesn't show up in the updates. It's very weird. Maybe you should report your email problems to Fanpop.over a year ago
That's so weird because he wasn't filthy when I went and he didn't add a quote from the Koran/Quran under his autograph and he never goes to the Hall of Presidents. Plus, he said he was just visiting Disney World, not that he was trapped in it. If this is for real then the actors don't really follow this because a lot of this stuff are things I've either never heard or seen them say to anyone or things they'd never do anyway, weird. Now, I'm not sure about this being real, although it could just be old and not used anymore.over a year ago
I remember a former Snow White showing her handbook and it was bigger and included more information and even pictures. It had a lot of little details about the movie and character and everything was very specific and accurate and Snows still use it. It wasn't the same handbook. It's still interesting.over a year ago
Oh, and the Aladdin I met did hold hands with Jasmine. I feel like this is a joke to an extent, I mean really, would Disney actually put in the thing about him thinking he went to Hell or Genie wanted to have sex with him? Disney would probably not go into that because it isn't really necessary and if this is real, it's sort of ridiculous and strange of Disney but I have my doubts. Whether it's a joke or not I still would be interested to see what the other handbooks look like.over a year ago
Oh wait, this site is owned by The Onion so this must be a joke, I knew that style of writing seemed familiar. The Onion is all about fake news stories that seem real but it's sort of a comedic news provider and you really can't take anything they say seriously. They seem serious and professional but most of what they write is a joke, they've tricked many a people, even part of the US government once, they're good at making things seem legitimate.over a year ago
^ It is sort of funny. It would be very interesting to see a real handbook but I don't know if former Disney employees are not allowed to show them online or that they just don't want to because no one ever shows the pages of those handbooks.over a year ago
Things I am okay with: The Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise coming out between October-December.
Things I am not okay with: Star Wars merchandise taking over every nook and cranny of Disney stores all year long.
Posted over a year ago
Well...Star Wars is now doing what Frozen did for three years-ish now. I'm thinking this is the new way Disney "merchandizes" their stuff: by sheer inundation. For a person who sincerely hated Frozen, I had to suck it up and pretend I didn't see anything. lol.over a year ago
I love Star Wars, I'm super excited for the new movie, and I'm glad Disney bought it and is actually promoting it so it doesn't bother me at all, I like it actually. Nightmare Before Christmas is a seasonal film, Star Wars isn't so I get why the Nightmare stuff isn't in stores all year long while the Star Wars ones are. I think it's mainly for the upcoming movie though but who knows.over a year ago
Congratulations, you just pissed off all of Tumblr; but yeah, I didn't find it to be all that special. It was slow at some points, and I felt like the romance between the "burnout" and "princess" forced, especially when all he did was harass her throughout the movie. It's just another one of those movies teenagers can make grunge edits of. (No offense to anyone who actually DOES really like the movie).over a year ago
and speaking of Alison, I think like with all media with 2 big female characters compared to each other (like in ASOIAF) one is portrayed a little more favorably than the other so of course all the girls want to think they're just like the 'cool' one and not the lame, preppy, girly one (even though in retrospect I think Claire was more likable and gets too much hate for fans just for being the only one with a spine to be honest!).over a year ago
Well, I found out something really interesting today. I have a cousin that for years has been researching our family tree and it turns out that I'm cousin to King Henry VIII thirteen time removed and apparently I'm a VERY distant cousin to Mary Queen of Scots. The Henry VIII thing isn't too much to brag about, since he cut off his wives heads. That should be an ice breaker if I'm ever on a date with a girl lol. It's pretty interesting but I wouldn't brag too much about it. I'm hardly royalty.

I've always wanted to find my family history but I don't want to join a paying website because I'm cheap and don't have money. My best friend is distantly related to Henry VIII as well. Meanwhile, I descend from fur trappers, farmers, suffragettes, and such from all over Western Europe. I even have a female ancestor from England who was mysteriously deported to Canada a couple hundred years ago. So it turns out there was supposed to be a live-action "The Little Mermaid" movie, but the director Sofia Coppola dropped out of it due to "creative differences." It says that Universal Pictures and Working Title are still trying to move on with the idea, but I honestly think the Disney 1989 version is the best, and I think the live-action version would be a flop.
Posted over a year ago
Sigh. If Hans Christian Andersen hadn't been so morose in his conclusions that everything needed to end in "death," then his stories might have been more beloved by whole generations of people. And yes, the live-action version of TLM with the ending where she dies and becomes a ghost for all time would be an expensive commercial flop. I, for one, wouldn't even go see it.over a year ago
I'm actually disappointed. I hate to be THAT person, but I'd be in heaven if I found an accurate and well-made Little Mermaid (HCA's fairy tale). I understand that movies can't ever be exactly like the original, and I'm not complaining. Yes, I've seen the anime one (I enjoyed it , too) but even that changed some of the story. I'm sorry if this comment comes across as complain-y. I know not everyone likes HCA's story. I just wanted to put one of my dream movie ideas out there.over a year ago
i can't stand those people who are always "omg did you know that the original fairy tales disney movies are based on are actually pretty dark and everyone ends up dead? Lolz disney just sanitized them their movies are so lame lulz!!!" i find people who share this point of view to be so pretentious.
Posted over a year ago
True. But then I let them go "live on their own isolated island of gory enjoyment." And I enjoy Disney in spite of their ridiculous commentary.over a year ago
Especially because there are no "real" versions of fairy tales. Fairy tales are, by nature, passed down by oral tradition, which means that you have to account for retellings over the years. They're not like novels, where there's one established "right" version of events. People misunderstand that all the time! It's the same way with mythology, too.over a year ago
I agree, a teacher of mine kind of implied that but really if Disney wanted to change the fairy tale they could, there is no rule against it. Besides, like audreybrooke, there are no "real" versions.over a year ago

I noticed something very interesting while watching the ball scene featurette on the Cinderella 2015 bluray
Her dress is a actually LIGHT blue, n then I check back to the same scene in the film and it looks dark blue again, so I realize, in person, that dress is actually light blue, but they tend to add filters to films to give them certain looks, and they totally edited it to make her dress a much darker blue D: n I'm like...WHY, it's literally the perfect shade in person!

Does anyone else see a trend in the "we almost cut this from the movie because we thought it wouldn't be good enough, but everyone actually loved it and it became a worldwide hit and it's still popular and well known" thing? I know it's not exactly a "trend," but it just seems so common in movies and books I have an interest in. (Ex, Part of that World was almost cut from TLM because they thought it was boring).

Disney announced sequel to Mary Poppins. Probably with CGI animation. I'm so angry right now. It's like, with that Disney just confirmed they don't care about their movies and history at all. The only thing they care about is money. At this point I wouldn't be surprised at all if they would annouce sequels for Snow White or Cinderella.

Am I the only one that thinks the Disney Renaissance is a bit overrated? While I love The Little Mermaid & Beauty & the Beast, I wish the earlier Disney films like Pinocchio, Lady & the Tramp & Sleeping Beauty got more attention.
Posted over a year ago
Hmm. Well, I totally fell in love with this story, today. It has just as much beautiful imagery within it and I think it rivals Andersen's The Little Mermaid for being almost completely tragic... The turn-around moment feels balanced and good... not awkward and forced like HCA's epilogue about the mermaid becoming a angel-ghost for all time. It concerns a princess who has been cursed with having "no gravitational pull" and has been floating around for all of her life.

A recent poll got me thinking again. We all know that Hans Christian Andersen was a seriously depressed man. He internalized all of his "rejections" from living people, and wrote stories that ended horribly for all main characters--- as in, these stories are devoid of hope. Continues in comments.

For some examples... The little fir tree gets burnt up in a furnace; the little match girl freezes to death from extreme winter temperatures; the little mermaid turns suicidal over love for a feckless guy; the steadfast tin soldier has a sick kid throw him in the oven where he melts into a pile of goo.over a year ago
The only story of Andersen's that has a half-way decent ending is The Snow Queen" which Jennifer Lee, of course--- butchered big time. It amazes me that almost everyone on this site hates Ariel and loves the suicidal mermaid from Hans Christian Andersen's story. It is my firm belief that the mermaid NEVER got her eternal soul. There were simply too many kids who acted poorly, and she was only a ghost for a short period of time, before she was no more. The mermaid never made it to the 300 year mark, because Hans Christian Andersen did ot want it that way. Go read the story again, and read through the lines of the "rules for Daughters of the Air Ghosts." Basically you won't get a "happy" ending out of "counting" on children to display "good behavior."over a year ago
My point being, there were too few children who displayed good qualities, and the little mermaid dies and remains a ghost for all time. We all have to die, but an author who figures out how to make a character suffer for eternity has "glutton for punishment" syndrome somewhere in his mind. Just saying. You can all like the original suicidal story where she dies and remains a ghost forevermore, but I think Hans had a definite preoocupation with death.over a year ago
I quite like Disney's Little Mermaid (as well as Ariel), even though it changed a lot of HCA's fairytale. I will not change my mind about the beauty and melancholy of the original. I do think that there isn't much comfort to go with/soften the tragedy, which I have no problem with. This is entirely subjective, but I can enjoy and appreciate dark and tragic stories, if they are well-made, which I believe The Little Mermaid is. I agree with you about HCA having depression/preoccupation with death.over a year ago
I've never read the original book (reading is my enemy), but I know that Ariel (Disney) is very popular on the site. I don't see how everyone hates her? Anyway, I agree with everything elseover a year ago

Also, i'm sorry for saying so many personal things here, but do you guys have any advice for anxiety? Everyday i go to college I feel very anxious about it, sometimes my anxiety gets so bad it makes me skip classes. Can you guys give me tips over getting over this anxiety and go normal to classes?
Posted over a year ago
I can relate. I had a terrible first couple months my freshman year of college. I had almost no friends, was incredibly lonely, had anxiety about everything, and just felt like I was a failure. Once I found my niche and made friends I had an amazing time though. So my best advice would be to join clubs concerning things you enjoy doing. I guarantee that there are others out there who have the same interests as you. Joining clubs is a really good way to find them. Other than that, be sure to make time for yourself when you can do calming things that you enjoy, such as watching a movie or reading a book.over a year ago
And as unpleasant as it is, staying on top of your studies really helps because you will be less stressed. Try to avoid skipping classes. You are paying for a chance at higher education that not everyone gets, and by skipping class you are not only throwing money down the drain but cheating yourself out of useful knowledge. If you are still having trouble after trying these things, I'd recommend talking to a counselor. Your college probably has some good ones that are free through the school, and they can be very helpful. Best of luck to you! College is a fantastic time of your life. So far my college years have been by far my favorite. Just remember that you are responsible for making sure that they are enjoyable. Put yourself out there! Don't leave it up to others to approach you. Have fun! :)over a year ago
I know exactly how you feel! I've been feeling that way A LOT lately! I'm a Theatre Major and I have to take a Practicum class, which isn't a traditional class and I have to get 20 hours in for each show we do during the time I'm not in class. I have only until next Thursday to get my hours in and I've only gotten five hours. Along with that I have a class where I have five books to read for the whole semester, a costume construction class, a dance class, and an online writing class. Plus my job as a housekeeper as the hospital that my mom is making me keep, even though I tell her that I can't handle it! I also have tests at my job that I have to take by November but I never have time because I'm too busy and too tired. I'm so stressed that my back and feet hurt.over a year ago
Yesterday morning I could hardly breath because I was so stress, I yawned and the bottom of my chin started to be in pain, and I was so busy that I didn't get a chance to eat lunch. That day I hadn't ate since 7:00 AM and I didn't get home until 6:00 PM because I live an hour away. Today at Practicum I had was doing one thing that I had gotten used to but then the teacher took me and put me on another job that was MUCH harder, despite it being my first day there. When I left it was raining HARD and I had to run through the rain across the campus to get into my car. I was completely soaked and i had to change clothes. I also haven't ate since nine this morning. There are times where just standing up is too much of a challenge for me. I'm always depressed and on a scale of 1-10, I'd actually go so far to say that I'm a 10 on the depressed scale. I do understand how you feel but definitely DON'T skip class, it'll just make it worse. Hang in there!over a year ago
I know how you feel. Anxiety runs in my dad's side of the family, and I have it too. In fact, let me tell you a little backstory. I'm a model, right? The day of my first photoshoot, while I was getting ready, I was SO nervous, I got mad at every disagreement, every little thing I thought went wrong, basically everything. It got to where I got mad. It even got to where my mom was getting exasperated with me. Then, I secretly cried over my nervousness and frustration. It might not sound bad to you, but it was bad for me at first, and I know how you feel about feeling very anxious.over a year ago
*Continues to type* I've been getting anxious/stressed over ridiculous things. Recently, me and my mom watched this thing on 20/20 about The Pope visiting America and and people asking him questions, and during a commercial break, I told her "I'd probably tell him my life is a mess.", and she kinda disagreed with me on that. Well, we got into this discussion about my stress, and she told me this-even though YOU may think your reasons may sound ridiculous, The Lord knows they mean something to you. She said every time I start to feel anxious, just to lift my anxiety up to The Lord and He'll help me. Sorry for sounding like a preacher, but my advice to is every time you feel that way, just prey. Lift those fears up and He'll help you through it. I hope this helps.over a year ago
Can you guys give me any good advice for studying? I have a very hard time studying and being concentrated and motivated to study
Posted over a year ago
First, find a quiet place to study where you know you're not likely to get distracted. I like using my university's library. Sometimes studying with friends can help keep you on track too. Then think about how you learn best. Do learn by listening, seeing, writing, or doing? If you learn by listening read your textbooks out loud to yourself or someone else. If you learn by seeing, read your textbooks but pay special attention to any pictures or tables in them. If you learn by writing take notes while you read! If you learn by doing most textbooks have practice questions and activities that you can do. Most important is to not procrastinate! (I should practice what I preach. I'm a terrible procrastinator.) But really, the longer you put it off the more rushed your work will be and the more stress you will feel. Good luck!over a year ago
Something that helps me is having a program about everything. I write down when I will study, for how many hours and what I will need. I try to study in a public place, where other people can see me, because that keeps me from procrastinating on internet or doodling stuff, but the opposite may also help, if you find a place where it's really quiet and you can avoid distractions. Personally, I can't study with friends, but they can be very helpful, as long as they're taking your studying seriously, otherwise you'll spend many hours doing stupid stuff and no actual work will be done. Another thing that helps me a lot is to have an organised notebook, with many and detailed notes, charts that may help me and the important stuff underlined with different colors. Seeing an organised notebook makes me relax and enjoy the studying more, even if it's for a subject I don't like.over a year ago
Also, I get really motivated by making a To-do-list with my homework, every time I finish an essay, or an exercise or something, I cross it out.over a year ago
But basically, I agree with everything MaidofOrleans said, it depends on the way you learn, by writing, listening e.t.c. And don't forget to take some brief breaks, they will help you clear your mind if you're stuck on something difficult and feel like you can't continue, or if you suddenly feel very tired or unmotivated.over a year ago

I never got to see my grandfather from my father's side, he died before I was borned and I only got to see my other grandfather one time before he passed away, I was only 3 at that timeover a year ago
Merida. After her, Pocahontas is the only one left. If you are interested in un-official princesses, between them, there will be a special episode where princess Elena will appear. She will later get her own tv series on Disney Juniorover a year ago
Guys, maybe most of you don't remember me at all since I don't have any significant contributions here, but I'm just going to tell you all that today is my birthday! I'm 21 years old now, just like my favorite character ever, Elsa!

Thank you, guys! @disneymagic93, yay for born in September. @Mongoose09, glad you're still remembering me though I've never been very active. @sweetie-94, wow, that's great! You're only 9 days younger than I am.over a year ago
Just wonder why you all hate Frozen so much? Seems from all Frozen related, such as polls, articles, etc. Don't try to be rude but I just very, very wondered WHY? I just want a clear reason for the most people's comments here tend to be negative about it.
Sorry if it was already asking by another peoples (because I was just one year ago register in Fanpop)

Not everyone here hates Frozen, I don't. One of the reason's people say they don't like it is because they say it feels rushed and not as well-made as it could be. Some people don't like the characters, especially Olaf and sometimes Elsa. Some just think it's overrated but don't actually hate it. I like it so I don't know all the reasons why people might hate it but those are some I've heard.over a year ago
A lot of people find it rushed with a lot of plotholes, too modern, or just not funny with bead characters. I agree that it is rushed and has a lot of plotholes, but I really like it for no good reason.over a year ago
I don't hate Frozen, but I don't love it. I agree that it's rushed and full of plotholes. And of course, so overrated. Especially when it comes to Elsa character.over a year ago
I know it's strange isn't it? Outside the internet, everyone loves it. Including myself, my mum and my two best friends. For me at the cinema, It made me react emotionally. I don't know how they did it but from Tangled to Brave to Frozen, they all touched me and made me cry at the end. Whereas I wasn't emotionally moved by the other older DP movies.over a year ago
I only wish they had developed Elsa's character a bit more and had given more detail or an actual explanation where Elsa's powers came from.over a year ago
Okay so where I live it's been raining ever since September 1st, but today it was raining pretty much the entire day and it began with thunder at about 1AM and heavy rain, then the thunder disappeared, but still heavy rain. According to the news it had come 87 millimeters of rain in Stockholm (which isn't so far away from where I live) and another place had got 97 millimeters of rain, that's quite a lot of rain in just one day *continues in the comments*

That place also had been overfloded so some people went with a boat to get people to dry land, now where I live it had also rained a lot, when I was out today I passed by a place where it had rained so much that it had become a lake on the path so I had to go around, funniest part about it? There where ducks swimming there, it looked like a mother with her kids. Hopefully next week will be betterover a year ago
I love it that Disney started to make book series as the sequels for their movies. First Never Girls (spin-off of both Peter Pan and Disney Fairies movies), than Anna & Elsa, and soon there will be third series, 'Merida'. It was just confirmed that the 4th series will be based on Inside Out!

Today I finally saw Inside Out with my sister and what an amazing movie it was, I nearly cried towards the end and I laughed so much especially during the end credits. This is now my new favorite Pixar Movie and probably my 2nd favorite Disney Movie. About the short movie shown before the movie Lava, well it was actually a rather cute short movie, but a slight bit strange too, but not in a bad way

Inside Out<33 It was awesome. I prefer other Pixar films though, my favorite being Up. Glad you love it!! Lava was adorable I almost cried during it. Odd, but really sweet. I cried my eyes out during Inside Out thoughover a year ago
I haven't seen Lava, but I did see Inside Out, and while it's not one of my favorite Pixar films, it was still amazing. I loved the concept, the message and it did make me tear up at the end.over a year ago
Does anybody else laugh when reading through some of their really old articles at how much their opinions have changed? I was reading through my old Team Merida article (man, that challenge was fun!) and I have no clue what I was really talking about in regards to some of the princesses XD. Some of them I'm still super proud of though. It is so nostalgic to see some comments from older users who are no longer here <3

We should do that challenge again because I never got to participate. I know what you mean, I look back at my old articles and realize just how much I have changed in opinions regarding some things and it is nice to see comments from users who are not around anymore.over a year ago
2 months ago I wrote an article about my Favorite Disney Princesses and today when I checked the article it had 12 fans (last time I checked I think it was only about 4 fans) and I think it's the first time an article of mine (or any other content that I've uploaded here) has gotten over 10 fans, here's a link to the article in case you haven't read it yet link

Thanks for sharing that! I don't agree with everything (I think Aurora is developed adequately, for example), but I absolutely second the overall message.over a year ago
So, I know everyone are probably tired about 'will Anna and Elsa join' discussion, but since they are both included now in almost every article, poll etc., I am curious, if they won't be added anytime soon, when do you guys think there will be finally time to accept that they won't join at all? I would say when Moana will be confirmed to be added?
Posted over a year ago
I've been thinking that if they don't add them before Moana it is because they are waiting for the sequel, they might add them afterward. That being said it is almost as if Disney has unofficially added them because they already appear with the other princesses, even at Disneyworld and the Disney stores.over a year ago
You know, Frozen franchise is so popular on the world even if Disney decides to not added them as Disney Princess later. Now I see they're compeletely more famous rather than other current Disney Princesses.over a year ago
But they do not appear with the other princesses... For example, they have images in the same style, and their merchandise are the same like the rest of the princesses - but their don't have DP logo, but Frozen logo. They don't share any pictures with official princesses, and at Disney World they are moving them into new place, which has nothing to do with Disney Princesses. And why would Disney add them after Moana, if she was created after them? Going this route, we may also wait for Frozen 3 or even Frozen 4. If people will use to treat them like official princesses here, than what keeps us from using heroines like Esmeralda in polls, articles etc. too? After all, it would be the same thing, "they are not but you don't know if they will be in future".over a year ago
In my opinion maybe Disney think, if the film was unpopular, they will added them into DP 1 year later after the film was released (like Rapunzel and Merida does). But you see the film now is so much popular than they thought (even some people think it was too much overrated). So now they're so popular without added on DP and still in Frozen franchise, Disney think this is the good way for got more profits. Until 2-3 years later when the popularity of Frozen was possibly decline, this time Disney will think to added them on DP to make them were famous again.over a year ago
@connor3- I see your point but Anna and Elsa are popular and royals so I think they are o.k. to be used here but not say, Esmeralda. I love her but she isn't as popular and she isn't a princess, but then again she was once in the lineup. I've seen pictures in stores and at Disney where the princesses and Anna and Elsa are all together and at Disney I've seen them referred to as princesses but that's, of course, all unofficial but to most people they are princesses more than the other heroines and the Frozen franchise cannot survive forever, I think eventually they will have no choice but to include them but I definitely see your point.over a year ago
There aren't going to be added. Frozen is already its own separate franchise and based on the DP pattern, they add them based on the time when their movie came out. Disney announced they were adding them to th elinup in 2014, and a YEAR has passes by. If Moana gets added in ( which she has a 99% chance of ) they will not be.over a year ago
Sorry to make this post. Does anybody else feel we need clearer guidelines on what can be posted? Or that warnings should be included? This is a Disney site. Children visit here everybody. I'm not sure it is appropriate to post things with swear words - and even worse, sexual content such as harems and rape. To clarify - I'm not saying you should necessarily not post this stuff. However, you should definitely include content warnings. Please keep this space safe for children.

And I also went to a town called Akko which lays very close to Haifa and it was also quite interesting, but it was hard to get there and I went there on foot, kind of a bad idea since it was so hot there, I took a taxi back to the train station. Oh and I did eat both kebab and falafel while there aswell as the most delicious calamares ever, so overall a quite lovely tripover a year ago
Last night I had a horrible dream! I dreamed that my dead broth came back and told us he faked his death to get out of jail. He hugged me but I didn't hug back. I was so angry at him and just when I was about to forgive him, go after him, and hug him I woke up and realized it was all a dream. Even after nearly a year it's hard to believe he's dead and that I will never to him again and we will never be close.

I rewatched The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast today. Now although I hadn't seen BatB in a long time and had forgotten a lot of stuff, I know I had seen it several times as a kid and I don't remember ever seeing the Human Again scene. Actually, I'd never even heard that song before, has that always been in the film because I'm sure that part was completely new to me. It's been a while though but I know I'm not crazy *twitches*. I saw it online so it might have been added on.

I thought the same things when I rewatched it last year but then some people here cleared it up for me. My post was almost exactly the same as yours actually, I know how you felt. I was like "o.k. I know it's been a while but I would have remembered a song".over a year ago
Haha the opposite happened to me. The version I had as a kid was a "special edition" that had the song included. I had no idea that it wasn't in the original version, so when I saw the original for the first time I was like "Something must be wrong with this VHS it skipped an entire song!!!"over a year ago
I have a great idea for a new movie...Frozen meets Minions. Nothing but an hour of Elsa and Olaf singing Let It Go while playing with Minions.

I just watched Mary Poppins and it's a bore how can anyone stay awake threw the whole movie it's so boring and why is there a song every five minutes I know disney movies have lots of songs but this is ridiculous I don't like it at all now can you all help me decide what movie to watch next Bolt, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, 101 Dalmations, Rugrats Movie, or Rugrats In Paris one of the five

I think it's amazing movie. If I would make a list of my favourite Disney movies (both animated, live-action), it surely would be in my top 5. I don't know if you are talking about animated or live-action 101 Dalmations, but if live-action, I suggest it. It's my favourite from the childhoodover a year ago
^ That was me up until last month. O.k. well actually I think I saw it once as a kid but that was so long ago that I didn't remember almost anything. I actually saw Saving Mr. Banks before it, love that movie btw, more than Mary Poppins actually, I love Emma Thompson.over a year ago

I personally love that movie. It deals with good themes. Admittedly there's a lot of songs but I like most of them so it doesn't bother me.over a year ago
^ Yeah, besides most Broadway musicals have just as many if not more songs, Disney are the ones that usually don't have that many. I didn't really think that it had an unusual amount of songs, seemed normal to me.over a year ago
Ok I'm going to sound like a creep, but this sounds like a wallpost I read when I stalked this site, like exactly like it. Maybe it's just my imagination but...it's fishy. Anyway, I like Mary Poppins but prefer the stage version.over a year ago
Has anyone here ever heard of a classic actress named Dorothy Dandridge? I recently discovered her and OH MY GOSH I ADORE HER! She was the first major African American actress EVER and was the first African American actress to ever be in a major role and be nominated for Best Actress. She was gorgeous, talented, and determined. She was a lot like Judy Garland but unfortunately had a tragic life that was forced upon her that she couldn't escape. Go look up the documentary about her on youtube.
Posted over a year ago
Oh yeah, I've known about for years (I love classic films and reading about movie stars) but I've yet to see any of her films but they are on my list for sure. Yeah, I see the similarities between her and Judy and unfortunately they both died too soon. If Dandridge was a young actress today she would have been really popular and successful like Kerry Washington and Lupita N'yongo but unfortunately people in the classic era did not know what to do with an African American leading lady so there were very few of them (some of the others were Lena Horne and Ruby Dee) but Dandridge was one of the most famous. Halle Berry was actually really inspired by Dorothy and mentioned her in her Oscar's acceptance speech and played her in a film.over a year ago
YES. I knew about her since I was 5! She is my idol. She successfully paved the ways for other African Americans in the show business. Love her. Her death is really sad.over a year ago
Yeah, I know about her a little! I've seen a couple clips of her performing and I agree, she was really talented and beautiful! I don't know a whole lot about her, though. It's so frustrating how people didn't want or know how to cast African American actors and actresses back then. It's a shame we didn't get to see more of their talent!!over a year ago
Today I saw some old Silly Symphonies on Youtube and I really love them. I also have a new favorite short witch is The Old Mill. It is really good first use of The Multiplane Camera and special effects. It almost looks like it is live action. There is an owl that looks like the one in Bambi, but this one dosen't talk. Definitley a must see.

Thanks for recommending it. I've been meaning to look it up, and I checked it out and it was beautiful! I wonder what the audience's reaction to the multiplane camera was. On the DVD commentary for The Little Mermaid, they mentioned that there's a brief shot towards the beginning of "Kiss the Girl" where they re-used drawings of reeds blowing in the wind from this, and I think I saw what they were referring to. I like the owl's reaction to being "filmed"!over a year ago

I have this thing that I have many favorite ships, but I can't pinpoint which is my "favorite", my OTP, so to say. I've got my favorite characters, sure, and I can even make a top 10 of them or something, but I just can't simply chose favorites with my ships? There will be times when i'll start obsessing over one ship, but then go bananas over another...And I think I would adore them on the same level. I just can't simply chose. </3
Posted over a year ago
I heard one way of figuring out your favorite ship is to imagine if the two characters (whether canon or not) were together but something happened that would keep them apart forever (new lover, death, or whatever) and see which would devastate you the most. Not many non-canon ships that I ship. The only ones I can think of is Toph & Sokka and Azula & Jet (both from Avatar: The Last Airbender). Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. My ships are usually canon, so I'm pretty boring when it comes to shipping lol. Good luck figuring it out because I know how hard it is to come up with lists, since I do it ALL THE TIME!over a year ago

There is something that I just found out. I already knew that Winnie The Pooh and Kaa were both voiced by the same guy, but I didn't know that the kid who voice Mowgli also voice Christopher Robin in the story where Pooh is trying to get honey and gets stuck in Rabbit's house. Now whenever I watch The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh I'm going to imagine Pooh try to eat Christopher. That's a messed up image. But it's pretty cool that these actors were together in more than one film.

Since there seems to be a lot of interests in Latina's with a lot of people on here and hating on the stereotype that all of them have dark hair, eyes, and skin and ignore that there are white Latina's. Well, Bella Thorne is actually a Latina, who is a white girl with brown eyes and red hair (her natural hair color is blonde) and gets mad when people tell her she's not Latina. She had a Quinceañera on her fiftenth birthday instead of having a sweet sixteen party because she's proud of her Cuban roots. She's taking Spanish because she knew a lot of it when she was young but she was bullied for "talking funny", along with her dyslexia, and just dropped it and only spoke English. Just shows that people really stereotype Latina's and Latino's and that a lot of ignorant people can cause problems. But it's made her stronger and proud of her Latina blood, along with her trying SO HARD to deal with her dyslexia because people told her she couldn't become an actress but she wanted to prove them wrong.
